At ChatGPT Query Viewer, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use our Chrome extension.

1. Data Collection and Usage

ChatGPT Query Viewer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

The extension works by:

• Intercepting network requests from ChatGPT to identify search queries used by the AI.
• Storing these queries locally in your browser's storage so they can be displayed to you within the ChatGPT interface.

2. Local Storage

All data captured by the extension stays on your device. Specifically:

• Search Queries: Captured queries are stored in your browser's chrome.storage.local.
• Retention: We implement an automatic cleanup policy where queries are deleted after 7 days or when the conversation limit (100 conversations) is reached.
• Manual Deletion: You can clear all captured data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's local storage.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not share any data with third-party services. The extension does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or any external APIs.

4. Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions to function:

• Host Permissions (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com): To detect and display search queries on the ChatGPT website.
• Storage: To save search queries locally so you can see them when you return to a conversation.

5. Security

Since all data remains in your local browser environment, the security of your data is protected by the security measures of your browser and operating system.
